Hi folks, after a long time searching for a wordpress plugin to include coppermine picture in posts, I have found this one here: click . In combination with ‘WP lightbox Plus WordPress plugin’ – click – it is possible to build a very nice plugin to integrate coppermine pictures into wordpress. For every picture, you have to add a tag looking like this: [ cpg_imagefixthumb:id] – without the first spacing. id stands for the permanent id of the picture in coppermine. You can see this id when viewing a picture and hovering over the ’send to a friend by mail’ button. In the url, there is a part pid=XXX . XXX is the id you have to input. To make it work with lightbox, you have to add: rel="lightbox" in line 578 right after class="cpg_imagelink". To achive that the plugin uses the thumbnail generated by cp and displays the big picture in the lightbox when clicking on it, you have to add this after line 567:
$uri_big = $config[0].$separatorslash.$config[1].$image->filepath.$image->filename;and finally change $uri_normal to $uri_big in line 578. That should be all – feedback is welcomed! P.S. An example:

after a real long time not posting anything and not maintaining this site, I will give my blog another try to get alive. I will try to post everything in english from here on. This site shall become my portfoliosite as well as a link and general news directory. In my term holidays, I will finish the linkage between the wordpress blog and my picture galery (coppermine) at http://pics.yashu.de – but this will take a long time though I have to upgrade coppermine and have to rewrite the currently used plugin to make it work with Lightbox as well.

nach langer Zeit melde ich mich mal wieder zurueck. Leider habe ich momentan sehr wenig Zeit und deshalb finde ich auch keine Gelegenheit, hier mal wieder was zu schreiben.
Z.Zt. arbeite ich in einem Projektteam an einem Projekt von Seiten des Fraunhofer Instituts fuer angewandte Informatik. Das verschlingt viel Zeit. Einen grossen Teil der Feiertage habe ich mit dem Onlinespiel Cabal Online verbracht.

Mein Notebook ist wieder da Es funktioniert, zumindest groesstenteils. Das heisst, dass ich auch endlich wieder mitm Coden anfangen kann. Um mal wieder reinzukommen, habe ich beschlossen, mich wieder mehr mit C++ zu befassen. Unser naechstes Uniprojekt wird wohl full-3D sein, also werde ich mir mal die Ogre3D- Engine schnappen und versuchen, mir da ein bisschen Wissen anzueignen.

Hi Leute,
juhu, wir haben Sonntag. In 2 Tagen faengt endlich die Uni wieder an… und unsere Rechner sind endlich da. Da ich nun auch meine neue kleine Festpaltte hab, hab ich mal angefangen, mich mit portablen Programmen sowie mit der Verschluesselung von Daten zu befassen. Nach einigen Stunden ist eine wirklich brauchbare Loesung dabei rausgekommen, wie ich denke. Da ich jetzt nicht alles im Einzelnen erklaeren moechte, liste ich meine Konfiguration auf und gebe ein Paar Links, die bei der Installation, Konfiguration und Bedingung helfen sollten.
1. TrueCrypt – ich habe eine 160GB Festplatte – also hab ich einen Container von 130GB erstellt, sodass ich auch mal eben schnell ein paar Daten rueberkopieren kann oder jeamnd anders eben die Platte in die Hand druecken kann, ohne, dass dafuer der Container geoeffnet werden muesste. Eine gute Anleitung, wie man TrueCrypt einrichtet – und auch zum Thema Portable Apps allgemein – findet sich hier.
2. Portable Applikationen – ich habe folgende Programme auf meiner Festplatte am Laufen – alle 100%ig benutzbar bisher.
- Mozilla Thunderbird
- Mozilla Firefox
- Pidgin (Miranda ist auch verfuegbar)
- OpenOffice.org
- Notepad++
- ToDoList von abstractspoon.com
- 7Zip
- VLC
- PuTTY
- FileZilla
- Netbeans (laeuft noch nicht, sollte es aber…kommt noch
) - Eclipse
Dazu noch einige Programme, u.A. DeepBurner, Audactiy und einen CommandPrompt Link.

3. Um nun die Programme nicht immer ausm Explorer starten zu muessen, sondern stattdessen eine Art Startmenue zu haben, empfehle ich PStart – ein guter Artikel dazu hier.
Die beiden Artikel sind allgemein sehr zu empfehlen, da es hier viele Ueberschneidungen gibt. Antworten bzgl. bestimmter Software findet man auf portableapps.com zu Hauf.

In einigen Tagen gibt es auch meine favorisierte IDE zum Entwickeln – bcD – in einer portablen Version. Problem hierbei ist nicht die Applikation an sich, sondern vielmehr, dass die IDE in der PATH Variable nach dmd sucht. Das ist natuerlich nicht portabel Aber nen Workaround ist schon gefunden, muss nur noch umgesetzt werden. Danke schonmal @ Extrawurst.org
